NSCASLP Safe Work

The staff of the Nova Scotia College of Audiologists and Speech- Language Pathologists (NSCASLP) are committed to being respectful, professional, and courteous. As such, it is expected that members of NSCASLP and the general public will treat staff in the same manner.

To ensure a safe and respectful workplace NSCASLP will not accept harassing or abusive communications towards staff. 

This includes verbal or written harassment or retaliation based on the characteristics outlined by the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. This behavior could include but is not limited to:

  • Demeaning or harassing comments;
  • Racist, sexist, or generally discriminatory statements;
  • Obscene statements and gestures;
  • Intimidation, shouting, and threats;

Behaviours of this kind may result in NSCASLP limiting communication to a written form or restricting future communication as NSCASLP sees fit.
